Pakistan opt to bowl first after winning toss in ODI series decider against Bangladesh

Dhaka — Pakistan won the toss and chose to field first against Bangladesh in the third and final One-Day International (ODI) of the series at the Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on Sunday.

The decision was announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on X, confirming that ODI captain Shaheen Shah Afridi had opted to bowl after winning the toss. The match serves as the series decider, with both teams having secured one victory each in the previous two matches.

According to the PCB, Ghazi Ghori and Saad Masood were included in the playing XI, making their ODI debuts in this crucial fixture. The full Pakistan team for the match includes Sahibzada Farhan, Maaz Sadaqat, Ghazi Ghori, Mohammad Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha, Abdul Samad, Saad Masood, and Fahe.

In the second ODI held on Friday, Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 128 runs under the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method after rain interrupted play, leveling the series 1-1. Bangladesh had previously claimed victory in the opening match of the series.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) issued an official reprimand to Salman Ali Agha on Saturday for breaching Level 1 of its code of conduct during Friday’s game.

Pakistan's captain Shaheen Shah Afridi and Bangladesh's skipper Mehidy Hasan Miraz were present at the toss for the third ODI, which will determine the winner of the three-match series.
