Atif Aslam, one of Pakistan’s most celebrated singers, has recently surprised fans by venturing into social media content creation. Known for his sold-out concerts and global fan following, Atif’s lighthearted videos on Instagram have gone viral, showing a more playful side of the artist.

However, actor and content creator Khaqan Shahnawaz has expressed disapproval of Atif’s new creative direction. During an appearance on the talk show Pakiavellian, Khaqan discussed the entertainment industry, the evolving digital landscape, and the tension between traditional actors and online creators.

He remarked that while he respects Atif Aslam’s stature, he believes the singer has been replicating ideas from smaller creators without giving them credit. “I don’t have an issue with Atif making content,” Khaqan said, “but if he’s using someone else’s concept, he should acknowledge them. If it were original, I’d appreciate it.”

Khaqan, known for his roles in College Gate, Aik Nayi Cinderella, and Haadsa, emphasized that originality and acknowledgment are crucial in the digital age, where creators depend on recognition for their work. His comments have sparked debate among fans over whether established stars should be held to the same creative standards as independent content creators.
