FIA uncovers trafficking network exploiting young women bound for Dubai

KARACHI: Authorities have dismantled a criminal network involved in trafficking young Pakistani women to Dubai, according to ARY news.

The Federal Investigation Agency’s Immigration wing exposed the operation during a targeted action at Karachi airport. Officials said the group lured women with promises of hotel employment abroad before coercing them into prostitution upon arrival.

The case came to light when a young woman traveling on a visit visa for supposed hotel work shared crucial information with authorities. Based on her identification, FIA officers arrested a suspected human smuggler, Shahzaib, at the airport.

Investigators revealed that Shahzaib was responsible for arranging visas and airline tickets using funds provided by another suspect, identified as Nadeem. The total transaction amounted to Rs. 420,000, including Rs. 40,000 allegedly paid to an airport agent to ease immigration clearance.

According to an FIA spokesperson, officials also recovered digital evidence, including WhatsApp conversations, indicating links with other individuals connected to prostitution rings.

The victim has been transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle for further legal proceedings. Shahzaib remains in custody as investigators continue efforts to trace additional members of the network and expand the inquiry.
