Bomb Blast Rocks Sibi: Train services halted amid security concerns

SIBI: A powerful explosion occurred near the railway track in the Harnai junction area of Sibi, Balochistan, on Saturday, prompting heightened security measures but fortunately resulting in no casualties.

The blast, which took place in a garbage pile close to the tracks, has led authorities to launch an investigation into its nature.

Upon the explosion, police and security forces swiftly arrived at the scene, securing the vicinity to prevent any further incidents. As the probe continues, the authorities aim to uncover the specifics behind the detonation.

In response to the security threat posed by the blast, train services in the region have been disrupted. The Jaffar Express and Bolan Mail, both en route to Quetta, were cancelled in Jacobabad, Sindh, as a precautionary measure.

According to railway officials, the decision was driven by passenger safety concerns, and services will resume once the situation is deemed safe. An update on the train operations will be issued after a thorough assessment of the current security environment.
