LAHORE: The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has extended the deadline for online admissions to medical and dental colleges across Punjab. The move aims to accommodate more students and boost the number of applicants.
A UHS spokesperson confirmed that candidates applying to public medical colleges now have until November 30 to submit their applications, while the new deadline for private medical colleges is December 15.
The extension was approved by the Provincial Admission Committee in a meeting chaired by the Secretary of Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education, Azmat Mahmood, with the participation of vice chancellors of public medical universities.
For public dental colleges, the application deadline is now December 31, and private dental college applicants for BDS programmes can apply until January 15, 2026.
Previously, the deadline was set for November 21, and officials noted that the revised schedule provides students with extra time to complete their applications. The committee reached a unanimous decision to extend the deadlines to ensure maximum participation.
