Passengers fall ill after eating contaminated food on Green Line Express

ISLAMABAD: Several passengers traveling on the Green Line Express from Islamabad to Karachi reportedly fell sick after consuming spoiled food served during the journey.

According to sources, the passengers were provided with expired and unhygienic meals, which led to symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and severe stomach pain. Some passengers even lost consciousness as their conditions deteriorated.

The incident sparked a protest at Khanewal Railway Station, where angry travelers voiced their frustration over what they described as gross negligence by the Pakistan Railways administration. Railway Police were later dispatched to the scene to calm the situation and restore order.

This is not the first time such an incident has occurred on the Green Line Express. Previous reports of food poisoning have raised ongoing concerns about the safety and quality of meals served on Pakistan Railways’ long-distance trains.

Passengers and observers have urged the authorities to take strict action to ensure proper food safety standards and prevent similar incidents in the future.
