During the meeting, the US Consul General thanked the Chief Minister for the warm hospitality and commended the Punjab government’s efforts to boost investment and promote economic partnerships. He also appreciated the e-Business project, describing it as a business-friendly initiative that simplifies procedures for investors and accelerates trade facilitation, said a statement issued from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz highlighted the government’s vision for inclusive growth, women’s empowerment, and sustainable development, saying that Punjab was emerging as a vibrant hub for trade, tourism, and innovation. She lauded the cordial relations between Pakistan and the United States, noting that the recent visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to Washington would further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
She underlined that Pakistan–US ties were reaching new heights of partnership and mutual understanding, with Punjab positioned as a key driver of national economic progress.

She further observed that timely and eco-friendly initiatives had led to a visible improvement in air quality across Lahore and other cities, while efforts continued to reduce cross-border smog.
