Rashid Malik/Arif, Aisam/Muzamil clinch doubles titles in 9th Sheheryar Malik Memorial Pakistan Open Tennis

LAHORE: Rashid Malik/Arif Feroze clinched the seniors’ 55 plus doubles title while Aisam ul Haq/Muzamil Murtaza won the men’s doubles title in the 9th Sheheryar Malik Memorial Pakistan Open Tennis Championship 2025 at the Sports Board Punjab Tennis Academy Nishtar Park Lahore on Saturday.

In the seniors’ 55 plus doubles final, Rashid Malik (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz)/Arif Feroze played well against the spirited duo of Khurram Imtiaz and Furqan ud Din and edged past them by 7-5, 6-2 to earn the title. The men’s doubles final saw Pakistan’s international star Aisam ul Haq, partnering with Muzamil Murtaza, outpaced Abubakar Talha/Ahmad Nael Qureshi 6-2, 6-3.

In the men’s singles semifinals, M Shoaib had to struggle hard to beat Aqeel Khan 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 while Muzamil Murtaza got walk over against Mudassar Murtaza. Now M Shoaib will take on Muzammil in the men’s singles final on Sunday (October 26, 2025). In the ladies’ singles final, Ushna Sohail beat Mehaq Khokhar 6-4, 6-0 to clinch the title.

In the seniors 45 plus doubles semifinals, Talha Waheed/Ashar Khan beat Arif Feroze/Khurram Imtiaz 7-5, 6-1. In the seniors 70 plus doubles final, Asad Niaz/Kh Khurram beat Waqar Nisar/Christopher 6-1, 7-5. In the seniors 65 plus doubles semifinal, Brig Ghazanfar/Maj Saeed beat Malik Imtiaz/Dr Zulfiqar 6-1, 6-2. In the girls U-12 semifinals, Khadija Khalil beat Zaina Abdullah 4-0, 4-0 and Aiman Rehan beat Eman Shahbaz 4-0, 5-3.
