JARANWALA: Police have registered a case against a man accused of harassing and assaulting his housemaid in Jaranwala.
According to the FIR filed at Saddar Police Station, the complainant, Ayesha Riaz of Noor Pur, stated that she worked as a housemaid for a man named Hamza. She alleged that he repeatedly harassed her and, upon being confronted, verbally abused her, slapped her, and pulled off her veil.
Residents rushed to help after hearing her cries, forcing the accused to flee. Police have booked the suspect under Sections 354 and 509 of the Pakistan Penal Code and launched a search to arrest him.
