LAHORE: Rising tennis stars Amir Mazari and Hajra Sohail clinched titles at the SICAS Punjab Junior Tennis Championship 2025, organized by the Punjab Lawn Tennis Association (PLTA) at the Punjab Tennis Academy, Bagh-e-Jinnah, Lahore.
In the Boys U-18 Singles Final, Amir Mazari displayed exceptional dominance, defeating Asad Zaman in straight sets with a commanding score of 6-0, 6-2, securing the title with flair. Although Amir fell short in the Boys U-18 Doubles Final, partnering with Haroon Arif, the pair was bested by the team of Asad Zaman and Abdullah Pirzada who claimed victory with a 6-1 win.
In the girls’ category, Hajra Sohail emerged as a double champion, clinching titles in both Girls U-18 and Girls U-14 Singles Finals. She triumphed over Bismal Zia in the U-18 final 6-4, and again overcame Bismal in the U-14 final with a convincing 6-2 scoreline, solidifying her position as one of the most promising young talents in the tournament.
In other categories, M. Umar Ali won the Boys U-14 Singles Final, defeating Ohad-e-Mustafa 5-4, 5-3, and then partnered with Ahmad Fareed Yawar to win the Boys U-14 Doubles Final, overcoming M. Muaz and M. Ayan 4-2.

The Seniors 45+ Doubles Final turned out to be a thrilling affair. Talha Waheed (GO Petroleum) and Ashar Khan fought hard to defeat the experienced pair of Shehryar Salamat and Hadi Hussain 8-6.
