Kashmiris hold powerful protest outside UN against Indian state terrorism in IIOJK

NEW YORK: On the sidelines of the ongoing United Nations General Assembly session, spirited Kashmiris staged a massive peaceful protest against India’s state terrorism in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The demonstration exposed fascist India’s true face before the international community. Protesters raised powerful slogans, including “Modi Killer,” which shook the global conscience and shattered New Delhi’s false narrative.

The protest intensified during the speech of Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, with Kashmiris tearing apart India’s misleading claims on the world stage. Observers noted that Jaishankar’s weak and disjointed address appeared helpless before the undeniable ground realities in IIOJK, further projecting India as a non-serious state before the world.

Speakers, including Kashmiri leaders and members of Friends of Kashmir, demanded immediate justice in line with UN resolutions, stressing that the oppressed people of IIOJK have been resisting India’s deceit and tyranny for over eight decades.

Chairperson of Friends of Kashmir International, Ghazala Habib, said despite relentless oppression, Kashmiris will never step back from their right to self-determination. “This truth has shattered the ugly dream of Akhand Bharat,” she added.

Sikh leaders also joined the protest, raising their voices in solidarity with Kashmiris, which reflected a growing international unity against India’s brutal policies.

The air in New York resounded with slogans of “Free Kashmir,” while Kashmiri leaders made it clear to the world that Indian state terrorism cannot crush their just struggle, which is gaining further strength with each passing day.
