Faceless e-challan system to begin in Karachi from October 1

KARACHI: Karachi Traffic Police, in partnership with Lok Suhayta, is launching a comprehensive awareness campaign to educate citizens about road safety and the new faceless e-challan system. The initiative aims to ensure better compliance with traffic laws and enhance law enforcement transparency.

Starting October 1, 2025, the faceless e-challan system will be fully operational. Traffic violations will be automatically detected through advanced CCTV cameras installed throughout the city. When a violation occurs, a challan will be generated along with photographic or video evidence, and it will be sent directly to the violator’s home—free from any human interference.

This automated system is designed to make law enforcement more transparent, fair, and effective. During the awareness campaign, pamphlets will be distributed at key locations, particularly at traffic signals, to ensure citizens are fully informed about the new process.

The campaign is supported by volunteers, lady constables, and students who are helping educate the public on the importance of traffic law compliance and road safety. The initiative marks a major step toward transforming Karachi into a safer, more organized city with greater adherence to traffic regulations.
