Muqam visits Swat relief camp as Army intensifies flood operations in KP

SWAT: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON, and PML-N’s provincial president for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Engineer Amir Muqam, on Sunday visited Al Khidmat Foundation’s relief camp in the flood-hit Manglawar area of Swat, reiterating the government’s commitment to extend all possible support to affected communities.

During the visit, Muqam reviewed ongoing relief activities, met volunteers, and praised Al Khidmat Foundation’s role in assisting flood victims. “Serving people in times of hardship is a noble act for which Al Khidmat Foundation deserves appreciation,” he said, assuring that the government was coordinating with welfare organisations to ensure effective rehabilitation efforts.

Representatives of the foundation briefed the minister on current operations and future needs, to which Muqam pledged his full backing.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Army continued relief efforts in flood-affected areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In Shangla’s remote Rajsham area, the Army established a medical and relief camp with the Ayesha Foundation, where military doctors are providing treatment to victims. A separate relief operation was carried out at a flood-damaged school in Bagh Naseemabad.

The Army reaffirmed its resolve to maintain relief and recovery activities until all affected populations receive the necessary assistance.
