KARACHI: A heartbreaking incident occurred in Baldia Town, Karachi, when a couple welcomed quintuplets, but the joy of their rare birth was overshadowed by a devastating outcome. Two of the newborns, both boys, tragically passed away shortly after birth, while the remaining three girls are in critical condition.
The quintuplets were delivered prematurely at just 29 weeks of gestation, which is well before the typical term. The infants suffered from low birth weight and underdeveloped lungs, which required immediate and intensive medical care. The surviving girls remain under close observation at a hospital, where doctors are working tirelessly to stabilize their condition.
