Royal Fans Express Sympathy for Prince Louis After Being Told Off by Kate Middleton and Prince George

Prince Louis appeared to be in high spirits during Trooping the Colour on June 14, 2025, laughing and enjoying the festivities with his brother, Prince George, and mother, Kate Middleton. However, moments later, royal fans expressed their sympathy for the young royal after noticing him being scolded by both Kate and George during the Royal Family’s appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony.

In one photo, Prince George was seen placing a hand on his younger brother, seemingly trying to stop Louis from waving at the crowd, which had been cheering every time he did so. A Reddit user commented, “Louis figured out the crowd would cheer every time he waved, and then George put a stop to it.” Another person humorously shared their own experience, writing, “I’ve done this a time or two to my brother. He ignored me and did his thing.”

Further concern arose when another image captured Kate Middleton appearing to scold Louis, with lip reader Jeremy Freeman suggesting that Kate told him, “National anthem. Louis, stand.” Prince Louis appeared to follow his mother’s command, although the exact details of their interaction remained unclear. One royal fan expressed empathy, saying, “I feel sorry for the kids having their every move analyzed.”

Despite the apparent reprimands from his family members, King Charles seemed to take Prince Louis’s playful behavior in stride. Photos showed the monarch giggling while Louis made exaggerated gestures. GB News reported that Louis even mimicked his grandfather’s wave before being ushered away by his mother.

Some royal watchers joked about the relatable dynamics between siblings and parents. “They all seem to have their hands full with little Louis,” one commenter wrote, while another added, “As the mother of 3 kids, nothing is more relatable than this little mini drama.”
