BEIJING: China’s export control measures align with international norms and are not discriminatory nor targeted at any specific country, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said during a regular press conference on Friday.
Lin’s comments came in response to a query on the difference between the practices of China and the U.S.
China stands ready to engage in more dialogue and cooperation with relevant countries and regions on export controls, Lin said, adding that it is committed to safeguarding the stability of global industrial and supply chains.
The U.S. actions represent a stretching of the national security concept, politicizing and instrumentalizing economic, trade and sci-tech issues to impose unwarranted containment and suppression on China, he said.
China resolutely opposes this and will resolutely defend its legitimate rights and interests, Lin said.
