Two boys drown in Bahawalpur canal

Two boys, aged nine and 12, drowned while swimming in a canal near Yazman, Bahawalpur. The incident occurred in the 2R Dera Nawab Branch, a canal that is five feet deep and 10 feet wide.

The boys had been swimming since the afternoon, but when they went missing, their family members initiated a search, which proved unsuccessful. After an extended search, Rescue 1122 was called, and a rescue team launched a search operation.

One body was found about 1 km from the site, while the other was located 13 km away, after nearly nine hours of searching. Both bodies were returned to the families.
