A sub-inspector and his family were involved in a violent incident at a restaurant in Faisalabad following a minor altercation. The group, including Sub-Inspector Khawaja Mohsin, attacked the restaurant, beat the staff, and fired shots, injuring an officer’s colleague. The incident was captured on video and went viral on social media, prompting action from the City Police Officer (CPO).
In response, CPO Faisalabad, Sahibzada Bilal Umar, suspended Sub-Inspector Mohsin and appointed an inquiry officer. He also vowed strict action against police personnel involved in exceeding their authority.
In a separate incident, two men were charged for extorting a car showroom owner and assaulting his employees after he refused to pay Rs 2.5 million. The accused, Saeed Qasai and Rana Adnan, threatened to kill the owner and took away car keys and office records. A video of the attack also surfaced online.
