Two new international airports to be constructed in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Approval has been granted for the construction of two new international airports in Sukkur and Muzaffarabad. The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has formed a committee to oversee the purchase of land for these airports, according to sources.

The Works and Development Department of PAA has already begun work on the projects, and consultants and experts will be enlisted for further development. The construction of Sukkur International Airport and Muzaffarabad International Airport is expected to cost billions of rupees.

Both airports are slated for completion within the next five years, marking a significant step in enhancing the country’s aviation infrastructure.
