George Clooney has made an astonishing claim about his marriage to human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, saying that their relationship is “easy” and that they’ve never had an argument in over a decade together. During a Monday interview on CBS Mornings, Clooney revisited the declaration he made two years ago, doubling down on the idea that communication in their marriage is effortless.

“We still haven’t [had an argument],” Clooney told host Gayle King. “We’re trying to find something to fight about!” He added that he feels “extraordinarily lucky” to have met Amal, calling their relationship a “jackpot.” Clooney expressed that there isn’t a day that goes by where he doesn’t feel like the “luckiest man in the world.”
In a 2022 appearance, Amal playfully responded to the couple’s claim of never arguing, saying, “It’s maddening to some of our friends,” referencing a cousin who often asks, “So have you had an argument yet?” before even saying hello.

Amal attributed the success of their marriage to good fortune, stating, “It’s 99 percent luck just to meet the right person.” She added that they strive not to be “cynical” or “guarded” with each other, which helps avoid conflict.
The couple married in a star-studded ceremony in Venice, Italy, in 2014, and have since welcomed twins Ella and Alexander, who are now nearly 8 years old. Clooney expressed how much joy their children bring, describing them as “curious and funny” in the Monday interview.

This isn’t the first time George has gushed about his wife. In 2023, when asked if he thought he was “punching above his weight” with Amal, Clooney laughed and admitted, “Yes, and I still do [think that].” He added, “Everyone would say the same thing.”
