Naqvi calls for renewed commitment to minority rights on National Minorities Day

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi emphasized on Sunday that Islam and the country’s Constitution guarantee the rights of minorities.

In his message on National Minorities Day, Naqvi acknowledged the significant role that minority communities have played in the country’s development and prosperity, stating, “I salute them for their contributions.”

The minister underscored that the contributions made by minorities to the nation’s progress cannot be overlooked.

He also reiterated the government’s commitment to eradicating discrimination against minorities and promoting understanding between different societal groups.

Naqvi concluded by urging a renewed pledge to work with greater vigor for the protection of minority rights.
