Yasmin Rashid, Omer Cheema get bail in case of arson, provocative speech

LAHORE: The Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore has granted bail to PTI leaders Dr. Yasmin Rashid and Umar Sarfaraz Cheema in a case related to incendiary speech and arson at Sherpao bridge.

The case pertains to alleged involvement in incendiary speech and subsequent arson at Sherpao bridge. The Sarwar Road police station registered the case, prompting legal proceedings against the accused.

After hearing arguments from the lawyers representing Dr. Yasmin Rashid and Umar Sarfaraz Cheema, the ATC deliberated on the matter and approved their bails.

The case against Rashid concerns rioting that followed Imran’s arrest and fiery speeches she is accused of making on May 9 against state institutions at the city’s Sherpao Bridge.
