Ijaz Ch challenges jail trial of May 9 incidents in LHC

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader, Senator Ijaz Chaudhry has challenged the jail trial of May 9, incidents in Lahore High Court (LHC).

Punjab government and others have been made respondent in the petition filed by Senator Ijaz Chaudhry in LHC through his lawyer.

In his petition, the PTI leader was of the view that jail trial of May 9 incidents was against the law and issuance of notification of legislation regarding jail trial was also against the regulations.

He pleaded the court to declare the jail trial of May 9 incidents null and void and direct trial of the cases in regular courts.
