Pasban e Aman Force constituted for security of Parliament House

ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly Secretariat has constituted Pasban e Aman Force for security of the Parliament House. The newly constituted force has been provided anti-terrorism training.

According to sources, most of the Pasban Aman Force personnel belong to Gujar Khan, the home constituency of National Assembly Speaker, Raja Pervez Ashraf. The Force has been endowed the responsibilities of security of the Parliament House and the Speaker National Assembly.

The security responsibilities of parking of the employees of the Parliament House has been shifted from FC to news force.

The Pasban e Aman Force personnel appointed few months earlier were provided anti-terrorism training and passing out of the 3rd batch was held on August 25, this year.

According to INP, it was first time in the country’s history that the Parliament has constituted a force for its security. The uniform of Pasban e Aman Force resembles to that of Elite Force having ATS sign on caps Pasban e Aman Force written on right shoulder.

Pasban e Aman Force has taken over partial security of the regular Parliament House, where earlier FC personnel were on duty, the new force has been deployed.

Owing to uniform resemblance it was assumed that they were Islamabad Police personnel but upon investigation it was revealed that they were employees of National Assembly Secretariat who have been appointed few months earlier in BPS-9.

These Pasban e Aman Force personnel were given anti-terrorism training near Simly Dam. So far, three batches completed training. The last batch included 34 personnel of which 30 could complete training and four couldn’t, owing to various reasons.
