Police officer injured in Peshawar mosque suicide blast dies

PESHAWAR: Another injured police officer of suicide bomb blast at Police Lines mosque in Peshawar in January last has succumbed to his injuries on Friday.

DSP Fazlur Rehman, resident of Manga Dargai, who was under treatment ever since he was seriously injured in the suicide strike on January 30 last, breathed his last today at LRH Hospital.

His death took the death toll in the terrorist hit to 86, mostly police officers.

A suicide bomber blew himself up while among the worshippers in the mosque with authorities saying more than 90 percent of the casualties were police officials.
