Modi regime has snatched every right of IIOJK people, say APHC leaders

SRINAGAR: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leaders have said that the Modi-led fascist Indian regime has snatched every right including right to life of the Kashmiris with extra-judicial killings, arbitrary detentions and torture having become a routine in the territory.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC leaders, including Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Bashir Andrabi, Firdous Ahmed Shah and Dr Musaib in their separate statements in Srinagar said that the Kashmiris’ lives, dignity and freedom are at the mercy of brutal
Indian troops.

They said that human rights violations in the territory have reached alarming proportions since illegal and unilateral revocation of Article 370 revocation in August 2019 and deplored India is using draconian laws to stifle political dissent in IIOJK.

The APHC leaders said every Kashmiri feels suffocated in an atmosphere of fear and terror in IIOJK, adding crackdown, cordon and search operations and raids have become a routine matter in the territory.

They said the world silence is only emboldening the BJP regime to systematically increase its repression in IIOJK. They maintained the iron-fist policy of the fascist regime is a challenge to the world community, demanding that Modi and his cohorts must be punished for trampling every right of the people of the occupied territory.

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Vice President of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, Omar Abdullah has demanded the release of all political prisoners, including former legislator, Engineer Rashid.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Omar Abdullah, talking to reporters at Aarigam Khansaheb in Budgam, said all Kashmiris languishing in different jails should be released. The Public Safety Act (PSA) should go once and for all, he added.

He admitted that a delegation from Jammu and Kashmir is meeting the Election Commission of India to know the reason for the delay in conducting elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

When asked why they are always meeting the opposition leaders and not the government, Omar Abdullah said there is no fun in meeting the government as it doesn’t budge and doesn’t listen to them. “We have stopped meeting the government as it is a futile exercise,” he said.

“Government only knows how to harass people. When we tried to meet the government, it didn’t oblige,” he added.
