‘Abducted’ friend of Moonis returns home

LAHORE: Ahmed Faran – a close friend of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader Moonis Elahi – has returned home days after he was “picked up” by unidentified persons riding two black vehicles from Garden Town of Lahore.

According to family sources, Ahmed Faran was left outside his house in Lahore last night by unidentified persons driving two vehicles. The CCTV footage of Faran’s return also went viral of social media.

Zaheer – brother of Ahmed Faran – also confirmed the return of his brother. Later, he was presented before the Lahore High Court, which had taken notice of his ‘disappearance’.

During court hearing, in reply to a question asked by a journalist, Ahmed Farhan said he was staying with his family.

About his head injury, Moonis’ close friend said he was accidentally hit with a vehicle door while coming to the court.

Moonis Elahi, son of Punjab CM Pervaiz Elahi, last week, claimed that his friend Faran Ahmed was “picked up” by some unidentified persons riding two black vehicles in Lahore.

The PML-Q leader said the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had denied his arrest.

Taking notice of the incident, the Lahore High Court (LHC) had ordered the CCPO Lahore Ghulam Mahmood Dogar to ensure immediate recovery of Moonis Elahi’s friend.
