Khar, Japan minister discuss trade

ISLAMABAD: Honda Taro, Japan’s parliamentary vice-minister for foreign affairs, called on Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar and discussed trade and investment.

According to a Foreign Office handout, Khar appreciated the “trusted development partnership” between Pakistan and Japan.

She emphasised further deepening of bilateral trade and investment relations, and also reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to promoting international peace and stability.

Meanwhile, Adam Tugio, Indonesia’s ambassador in Islamabad, also called on Khar for a meeting wherein she expressed Islamabad’s desire to strengthen the relationship with Jakarta and enhance cooperation in trade and investment.

She also underscored more business-to-business contacts and a generation of momentum through high-level visits and connectivity.
