KARACHI: Co-chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday filed a new petition with an accountability court in Karachi to halt proceedings in the Park Lane estate reference.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) accuses Zardari of being involved “in extending [a] loan and its misappropriation by M/s Parthenon Private Limited, M/s Park Lane Estate Private Limited and others”.
During the hearing, NAB prosecutor raised objection over Zardari’s petition, saying it was a contrivance aimed at buying the time.
