KARACHI: The Sindh government on Monday decided to register a protest with the federal government over the increase in electricity tariff and overbilling.
As per details, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah will write a letter to the federal government to apprise it from the reservations of the masses over an increase in tariff and the complaints of overbilling.
Earlier this month, the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) had approved a price hike in K-Electric tariffs. A statement issued by the Finance Ministry at the time had said that the increase in tariff was announced as per recommendations forwarded by the ECC and approved with the instructions that the same would be effective after the passage of three months.
The prince hike will bring the K-Electric tariff on a par with other power distribution companies.
