WOKEISTAN – Racists are in trouble the world over as protestors who self-identify as progressive and woke are demanding that any emblems of racism be abolished the world over.
The abolition has already begun in the US. Statues of Christopher Columbus were destroyed in Minnesota, Boston, Miami and Virginia. Earlier this week, the John Breckenridge Castleman monument has been removed in Louisville, Kentucky, followed by a 122-year-old statue and plaque about Confederate soldiers.
In Alabama, attempts have been made to take down a statue of Confederate sailor Charles Linn, while that of Gen Robert E Lee and Confederate Adm Raphael Semmes have been destroyed. Others continue to be taken down across the US and many expected to follow suit.
In the UK, the statue of 17th-century slave trader Edward Colston in Bristol was dumped in the river. The statue of slaveholder Robert Milligan has been removed in London.
Meanwhile, the statues of Winston Churchill and Mahatma Gandhi have been defaced in London. And wokeists have vowed to ensure ‘no racist is spared.’
Sources within the global wokeist movement have informed The Dependent that they plan on tearing down all symbols associated with leaders who exhibited racism. To prove their point, the wokeist protestors are set to tear down statues of Che Guevara in Bolivia, Argentina, Cuba and other parts of the world.
Sources further confirmed that countries that don’t have such statues will witness protestors burning the trademark Che shirts. In Pakistan, the protests would be led by the Awami Workers Party.
The outrage comes after excerpts from Guevara’s Motorcycle Diaries resurfaced where he demonstrates racism against the black people.
However, protestors say they will leave a few of Guevara’s shirts and statues, while will be destroyed during a global movement to abolish emblems of homophobia.
