The government has drastically cut down the profits of National Saving deposits . This has affected many people . The prominent among these are senior citizens who do not receive any pension and they only survive on the monthly profit on their life time saving invested in the National Saving schemes , such as Behbood and other certificates . These senior citizens , especially in their seventies and eighties are unable to work any longer .
I urge the government to restore the previous profits for such senior citizens to meet their both ends meat to keep them alive .
