ISLAMABAD: At least one person died while five others were critically injured when an over speeding US embassy vehicle hit a car here on Sunday.
According to a private TV channel, the US embassy vehicle violated traffic rules by trying to cross a closed signal at Faisal Chowk because of which it hit a car.
The woman, identified as Nazia, died on the spot. Her body and the injured persons were shifted to a local hospital.
Margalla Police impounded the vehicle, arrested the Pakistani driver and have started an investigation after registering a case against him.
