SHC moved for permanent transfer of doctors to JPMC

KARACHI:  The doctors moved Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday for their permanent transfer from Sindh government to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC).

A group in a petition stated that they were asked by the Sindh government to perform temporary services in JPMC. They asked the court to order their permanent transfer to JPMC. The petitioner stated: “There are 400 vacant positions of medical officers in JPMC, but we are performing temporary duties.”

The petitioner informed the bench that there was no lack of medical officers as they were working on behalf of 400 doctors. Sindh government and JPMC have been named as respondents in the petition.
