NAB prosecutor pursuing fake accounts case resigns

ISLAMABAD: Nayyar Rizvi, who had been prosecuting multi-billion money laundering through fake bank accounts case against the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leaders, tendered his resignation on Wednesday as additional prosecutor general of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Rizvi sent his resignation to NAB Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal, saying he could not continue due to personal engagements.

Rizvi was appointed as the NAB’s additional prosecutor general in February this year for a term of three years.
