LONDON: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi claimed in a press conference on Tuesday that NAB is an independent institution and government can’t influence it in any way possible.
He further said that all the cases in NAB are genuine and the government has nothing to do with their formation. Whatever law would suggest about them, that course would be adopted by NAB without any hesitation, he added.
Answering a question, he said that PTI has no personal grudge against the PML-N and PPP, the cases against them were filed by NAB after exhaustive research and gathering of proofs.
He assured that the government never tried and will never try to influence NAB or any other institution.
