ISLAMABAD: Federal Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Saturday claimed that another cabinet reshuffle is on the cards soon after Eid.
“If one is to believe the rumours, one or two ministers will be changed in the trailer of the episode,” he said.
In a major cabinet reshuffle that took place in April, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan had appointed Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh as the Finance Advisor. The reshuffling had come at a time of growing pressure with the rupee losing 30 per cent of its value since the start of 2018, stirring sharp inflation.
The cabinet overhaul comes hours after Finance Minister Asad Umar stepped down from his post.
