KARACHI: The Metropolitan has been divided on the basis of society, culture and economy, and a notification has been issued by the Karachi commissioner in this regard.
According to the notification, the city would be divided into three zones, including uptown Karachi, downtown Karachi, and old town. The downtown would consist of business centres and the city’s central areas.
Furthermore, the old town will include the city’s historic areas and shahrahs, while the uptown will consist of residential areas and shopping centres.
