ISLAMABAD: PEMRA Chairman Muhammad Saleem Baig on Friday visited the Frequency Allocation Board (FAB) office.
During his visit, FAB Executive Director Brig (r) Muhammad Naeem briefed him regarding the functioning of FAB and the technical upgradation of the board’s spectrum monitoring capabilities. Spectrum related issues were also discussed in detail.
The PEMRA chairman lauded FAB’s role and cooperation in swiftly disposing of frequency related cases of PEMRA’s FM radio licences. FAB has the exclusive authority to allocate and assign the portion of the radio frequency spectrum for both radio and television broadcasting operations.
He also emphasised on strengthening close coordination in matters of mutual interest and ensured his full cooperation to FAB.
Other officers, including PEMRA Director General (Technical) Dr Mukhtar Ahmed, PEMRA’s Secretary to Authority Fakharuddin Mughal and FAB Director General Khalid Noor were also present on the occasion.
