Appoint senior IHC judge as its chief justice, says PHCBA

The Peshawar High Court Bar Association (PHCBA) on Monday said that a senior judge of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) should be appointed as the court’s chief justice after retirement of the incumbent next month, a local media outlet reported.

During a meeting of the PHCBA, reports over the appointment of a judge from another high court rather than IHC were discussed.

They said that Justice Athar Minallah was the senior most judge of the IHC and should be appointed as the chief justice of IHC.
