KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Awards 2018 were held in Karachi on Wednesday crowning Babar Azam as the best T20 player of the year.
The categories of Best Batsman, Best Emerging Player, Best Bowler, Best Wicket Keeper, Best Coach, Best T20I Player, Best Umpire, Best Referee and many others were included in the awards.

Former captain Azhar Ali, Shoaib Malik and Muhammad Hafeez and Muhammad Amir were not able to make it to the ceremony.
Sharing the details of his absence, Malik wrote on his Twitter handle: “I’m going to miss the in person but I’ll be there in the spirit of course. Playing for your nation is an honour on its own and this award ceremony is an excellent initiative to recognize and appreciate the hard work cricketers put in day-in-day-out”.

Moreover, signed bats, balls and other items were auctioned at the #TitansGala. The money raised from it will go to charity.
Shan Masood won the award for best batsman, Aizaz Cheema won the award for best bowler, Kamran Akmal bagged the best wicket keeper award while Hasan Ali took home the best ODI player of the year award.
Furthermore, award for emerging cricketer of the year went to Faheem Ashraf. Sarfraz Ahmed received the Imtiaz Ahmed Spirit of Cricket trophy.
In the women domestic category, best batter award went to Bismah Maroof. Best bowler went to Diana Baig and best wicket keeper award went to Sidra Nawaz
