LAHORE: Rain poured in Lahore all day on Tuesday and people took to social media to express their grievances and blamed the previous Shehbaz Sharif-led government for the natural calamity and accumulation of water on the city’s road, but Lahore is not the only one to be affected by downpour, governments all over the world are helpless when it comes to such natural calamities and such high levels of rainfall.
On the other hand, rainfall of such magnitude has been known to ‘drown’ cities in advanced countries as well.
Earlier on February 22, at least three people lost their lives due to heavy rainfall in several parts of the United States (US), Michigan to Texas.
Similarly, streets in the United Kingdom have also been flooded when heavy rain has poured.
In a similar incident, over 500 accidents occurred when Dubai was hit by heavy rainfall.
