LAHORE: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Saturday summoned Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Tariq Pasha along with the record of smuggled cars.
During the hearing at Supreme Court Lahore Registry, the chief justice said that he knows that officers of FBR, Excise, Customs and Taxation departments use smuggled cars. “And I can tell that prime minister has not given approval of this,” added the CJP.
Upon this, the chief justice was told the former principal secretary of the prime minister, Fawad Hassan Fawad, gave the approval for this.
