LAHORE: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) started a probe against alleged corruption, worth millions of rupees, in Customs Intelligence, reported a local English newspaper.
According to sources, the Customs authorities are trying to hush-up the issue but a former official of the department drew the attention of FIA towards the issue.
Further, when reached by FIA for the record, the Customs officials showed reluctance in providing it. After the intervention of Lahore High Court (LHC), which ordered the agency to finalise the inquiry, the Customs authorities provided the record to the FIA.
