LAHORE: An under-trial prisoner arrested in vehicle theft and narcotics cases passed away at the jail hospital on Tuesday.
According to the police, the accused, Imran, son of Sadiq, was brought to the jail on June 27, 2017.
He was admitted to the emergency room of the jail hospital on Monday night after suffering from breathing problem and chest pain.
While the apparent cause of death is a cardiopulmonary arrest, the police said that the necessary procedure for judicial inquest and autopsy were being adopted.
