ISLAMABAD: The Senate spokesman on Monday said that the news circulating among certain sections of the electronic media regarding Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s refusal to meet Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani are false.
The spokesman said that the Senate chairman did not make any formal request, adding that no letter was sent from the Senate Secretariat to the PM House in this connection.
He also said that the media should follow the ethics of journalism and verify all kinds of information before making it public.
