PAKPATTAN: A notorious robber was killed while his two accomplices managed to flee after an exchange of fire here on Saturday.
The encounter took place near Chak Muhammadpur Mehdi in Pakpattan when police approached a three-member gang of robbers fleeing after snatching cash and bike from a citizen.
In cross firing, a notorious robber identified as Shaukat alias Chandi wanted by police in dozens of criminal cases was killed while his two accomplices managed to escape from the scene of the crime.
The body of killed robbers was shifted to the mortuary of a local hospital for postmortem and the police after registering a case against the fleeing robbers have started the investigation.
