LODHRAN: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) foiled a terror bid by arresting two terrorists of the banned organization Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) with explosives, detonators and hand grenades here on Thursday.
The CTD Spokesman said that an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) was conducted against extremists in the suburbs of Lodhran.
During the operation, two TTP terrorists identified as Arshad and Yasir were arrested.
Explosive material, hand grenades and electronic devices were recovered from the possession of the detained terrorists who were shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
The detainees were planning terrorist attacks in Lodhran and Bahawalpur but the timely action of CTD foiled their attempt.
