RAWALPINDI: The security forces in countrywide operations arrested 16—including terrorists/facilitators and drug suppliers—and recovered arms, ammunition and drugs on Wednesday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the security forces conducted intelligence-based operations (IBO) in various parts of the South Waziristan Agency (SWA), and recovered a huge quantity of arms, ammunition, improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and explosives.
Punjab Rangers, along with Punjab police and intelligence agencies, conducted IBOs, patrolling and snap checking in DG Khan, Attock, Islamabad and Lahore.
As many as 16 terrorists/facilitators/smugglers were apprehended and a number of weapons, as well as ammunition of different calibres, 4.5 kg explosives, 100 detonators, detonating cord and narcotics, were recovered.
