FC trooper killed in South Waziristan IED attack

PESHAWAR: A Frontier Corps (FC) personnel was martyred while another was injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in the Sarokai district of South Waziristan on Monday.
The soldiers were on routine patrol when an IED planted near the Gurguray checkpost in Sarokai exploded, killing a trooper.
South Waziristan is one of the seven semi-autonomous tribal areas, where the army has been battling terrorists linked to the Taliban and other militant outfits.
